Ohio Valley River Museum

at Hannibal Locks and Dam, Hannibal, Ohio

Some great old Unlimited Hydroplane footage from Seattle, 1951. Love the sounds of those 12 cylinder motors. Of this group of boats, those appearing in New Martinsville in 1951 were the MISS PEPSI, HORNET and MY SWEETIE. Both the HORNET and MY SWEETIE were owned by Horace Dodge and the HORNET sported a new checkerboard tail fin in New Martinsville. All the boats were from Detroit. (from Sam Winer, New Martinsville, WV)
